Discovering one of my Favourite Sushi places in Malta: A Review of Genki in Msida

As a sushi connoisseur, I’ve had the pleasure of dining at some of the finest sushi restaurants all over the world, including in the birthplace of sushi, Japan. So, you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Genki in Msida, Malta and discovered this amazing restaurant in the main road of Msida that serves authentic Japanese cuisine.

From the moment you step into the restaurant, you are transported to a world of traditional Japanese culture, surrounded by the warmth of beautiful wooden furnishings and the tranquil lighting.

But, of course, the real star of the show is the sushi. And let me tell you, Genki does not disappoint. Every piece is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, flavorsome ingredients. The rice is perfectly seasoned and the fish is always of the highest quality. I’ve tried a range of dishes on my visits, including the classic California Roll, Salmon Sashimi, and the ever-popular Tuna Tataki, and every one has left me wanting more.

But it’s not just the sushi that’s worth writing home about. The Japanese dishes on the menu are equally impressive, with rich broths, perfectly cooked meats and vegetables, and a range of flavors that tantalize the taste buds.
