Discovering Deliciousness at Mondo in Mriehel, Yet With Some Issues – A Restaurant Review
Dining at Mondo is a mixed experience. On one hand, the food is simply delicious – impeccably tasty, and beautifully presented. On the other hand, the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you’re looking for a leisurely Sunday lunch, you might want to look elsewhere.
Located in the bustling hub of The Quad in Mriehel, Mondo has quickly become a popular new restaurant in town. And it’s no wonder, with a menu that boasts a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes and preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty and filling, or something light and fresh, you’ll find it here.
However, our recent visit for Sunday lunch was marred by a few issues. The main one being the understaffing of the restaurant. There was only one waitress on the outside area, and she was left to do what was a clearly a big task all on her own. Given that this is a newish restaurant, with waiters who are still in training, this was a bit of a challenge.
What’s more, Mondo has serving robots, but they were just sitting by the door and not being used. It’s a shame that the restaurant wasn’t making the most of this technology, as it could have helped ease the burden on the waitress.
As a result of the understaffing, we had to wait 25 minutes just to get our menus, and another 40 minutes to place our order. This is simply not acceptable, and it’s not what you expect when you go out to eat.
It’s understandable that Mondo might be struggling with a lack of staff, but if that’s the case, it might be better to remove some tables and not go at full capacity with the seating, in order to ensure that the service is up to par.
Overall, Mondo is a restaurant with a lot of potential. The food is truly delicious, and the presentation is impeccable. However, the service needs to be improved in order to make dining here a truly enjoyable experience. – Rating: 3/5 Stars
