Tal-Familja Marsascala? I’ll only visit if I want diarrhea again.

If you’re looking for a new place to try for dinner, I would suggest steering clear of this restaurant. My experience there was less than ideal, to say the least.

To start, I ordered oysters as an appetizer. Big mistake. When they arrived, they were placed on a warm plate without any ice or anything to keep them cool. As a result, they were warm to the touch and definitely not fresh.

For my main course, I decided to try five different types of carpaccio and tartar, all of which were seafood-based. Unfortunately, these dishes were also warm, not because they were cooked (thank heavens they weren’t) but because they had been left out in the heat for an extended period of time. In the middle of July, the last thing you want is warm raw fish.

I was so disappointed with my meal that I ended up leaving it on the table and not eating it. Thankfully, my dining companions were generous enough to share their food with me.

When the waitress finally came over, she didn’t even ask what was wrong with my food. She simply picked up the plate and left without a word.

On the plus side, I have to say that the restaurant makes a mean Negroni. But let’s be real, a good cocktail can only do so much to make up for a terrible dining experience.

Overall, my experience at this restaurant was a huge letdown. From the warm oysters to the uninterested waitress, it just wasn’t the type of dining experience I was hoping for. If you’re in the mood for oysters or raw seafood, I would suggest finding another place to dine. Definitely a 1/5 stars!
